Written by Abbie Leadbiter, Fundraising Manager.….

Fundraising may seem daunting, but the hardest part is starting! You can begin your fundraising journey by following these five simple steps. Having an online fundraising page makes it easier for your friends and family to donate. It also increases the possibility of reaching more people due to the scale of social media!

STEP 1: Visit the VMG Website!

Visit the Virgin Money Giving sign-in page and enter your email address and click ‘Next’.

STEP 2: Set up your account!

Once you have clicked next, you will be directed to this page.

You are asked to fill in a few simple details such as:
1. Your name
2. Your address
3. A password
4. Your contact preferences.

Once you have completed the form, click ‘Register’!

STEP 3: Start your challenge!

On the next page, click ‘start your own fundraising challenge’. This will take you to the page shown here.

Type into the field ‘Challenges Abroad 2020 – (your university/country of visit)’. For example:

Challenges Abroad 2020 – Bournemouth
OR
Challenges Abroad 2020 – Peru

STEP 4: Choose the FutureSense Foundation!

Once you click on the correct event, it will direct you to the following page. You will be asked if your selected charity (FSF) have contributed to the cost of your event – please select ‘No’.

Once you have completed this page, click ‘Create my page’!

STEP 5: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

You smashed it! Your page is set up and ready to raise funds! Make sure to add a:
1. Profile image
2. Cover photo
3. Short paragraph on why you are supporting the FutureSense Foundation!

Remember to share your fundraising page on your social media channels and with family and friends and watch your fundraising total rise!
