School Re-Opening.

Due to the decreasing number of corona cases in the month of January, the state government has decided to partially open schools for higher grade levels in the first week of February by strictly following standard operating procedures in view of coronavirus pandemic. After a long gap, students at our partner schools went back to school and were really excited to meet their friends and teachers.

Community Updates. 

In the month of January, people celebrate a very popular winter folk festival called Lohri. It is celebrated in India. It symbolises the ripening of crops and the start of the harvest season. It is all about togetherness, great food and singing and dancing around a huge bonfire.

There is another day in this month that is Republic Day. This day has been celebrated every year in India on the 26th January since 1950 to honor the date on which the constitution of India came in to effect. On this day flag hoisting, ceremonies and a parade by armed forces and school children are held in the different parts of India.

 

COVID Update.

In the month of January the recovery rate of corona virus is 97.27%.The Covid vaccine was launched in India on the 16th of January. The first group to receive the vaccine includes health care and frontline workers. The second group to receive it will be persons over 50 years of age and under 50 years with comorbid conditions.
