Program Updates.

In the month of December we have been busy working with the one of our partner schools, Neel Kamal for making and distributing the second round of education boxes for grade level LKG to 10. The education boxes were required to support remote learning as schools in India were closed throughout December. We are excited to say that we have delivered 1,010 pages of worksheets to 101 students across 10 class levels to help students to stay focused and engaged in learning. Education boxes focused on English and STEM activities (Science and Math) for the students to do at home

Christmas Celebrations in India.

Many Christians in India celebrate Jesus Christ’s birth on 25th December. Though the majority of Indians are Hindu, millions of people still celebrate Christmas in India. Across India people celebrate Christmas in many ways. It is often combined with customs from pre-Christian winter celebrations. Many people decorate their homes, visit family or friends and exchange gifts. Some Christian families celebrate by going to church on the day of Christmas.

COVID-19 Update.

In the month of December, COVID-19 cases started to decrease, with cases currently recorded at 10,286,329. In Palampur, where FSF has the India hub, things are getting back to normal and there are no restrictions for the citizens. People hardly maintain social distancing. Local buses and taxis are running as before and are full of passengers.
