Village Visits.

Due to the government restriction to all schools closed and our Supplementary Education Class(SEC) – (Village Class project) also stopped the activity but we still support many our students in community by home visit through delivery/providing worksheets, exercise and lesson to them for learning at home during they don’t have a chance to study at school. In our providing worksheets activity, we saw that both students and parents are feeling excited when we still help their children learn.

We work covering seven villages. Each of our SEC teachers have arranged the five different places with small amount of student between 5-8 students for providing worksheets and take short time around 20mins to explain. In worksheets providing project was focused on three main subjects as English (Vocabulary and reading ),Khmer (reading and practicing exercise) and Math.

Moreover, Cambodia team staff Phearom from Futuresense Foundation also helped in providing worksheet to students who live so far from the SEC area. He provides worksheets and explain to student to do homework, to learn at home.

Recently, our SEC teachers has reached 375 students in providing worksheet by doing home visit in community.

Making Teaching Material Project.

In the hard situation and lack of material for teaching and providing to students for learning during the school was closed we have small project is about making the teaching material for delivering to our students in community.

The process in making we worked together with (FSF-Cambodia team staff-Phearom,SEC teachers and Children’s Action for Development (CAD) project staffs). And the purpose of the project also is to reduce cost expense in purchasing the teaching material and to make more easer in teaching and delivering to students in the community, so we cooperated make it happen.

We recycled the old papers that used already in one side to reuse for drawing, pictures to make the picture cards and writing short story, vocabulary for students practice. Picture cards are used for explaining ,showing and teaching vocabulary when we provide worksheets and visit students in the community.

Short story is used for improving students reading, comprehension and new vocabularies by practicing answers the  questions, complete the missing words, unscramble the words and puzzle words after they have read. We see the positive impact after making and delivering to students for practice learning at home.
