The Gambia is known as one of Africa’s most friendly and welcoming countries and is a popular destination for European travellers.
However, it faces enormous social and economic challenges due to an under-resourced education system and high levels of HIV infection. These issues severely limit opportunities for local people to develop and sustain livelihoods, creating a real need for community volunteering work.

Volunteering Work
FutureSense volunteers teaching in Gambia provide invaluable support at schools, while others help local NGOs to support their communities through income generating schemes and AIDS prevention programmes.
The FutureSense Foundation works in parallel with volunteering projects through strategic funding, which include supplementing teachers’ salaries, facilitating extra-curricular activities and outings, and improving the infrastructure of community development NGO partners.
