The Foundation’s charity work in Chile relies on the efforts of individuals and groups giving up their time to volunteer abroad and teach in underprivileged communities.
We support voluntary work in the Elqui Valley, which is famed for its picturesque landscape and tranquillity. While the simplicity and isolation of the Elqui Valley’s farming communities is charming, it also means that many of its schools are chronically under-funded.

Volunteer in Chile
As in other developing countries, knowledge of English can open doors to lucrative jobs in the tourist industry, making voluntary work an important aspect of community development and livelihood support. By volunteering in Chile you can help the Foundation pursue its goal of improving the lives of disadvantaged communities across the globe.
How you can get involved
Get Involved on your Career Break
By teaching overseas on their career break, our volunteers contribute to improving education in some of the poorest regions of the world. Whether teaching in Africa, Asia or South America, it is an opportunity for individuals to do something meaningful, as they help to tackle illiteracy, poverty, dependency and inequality overseas.
